Across 11,656 auction outcomes we captured (2023-01-03 - 2026-07-10), 54% went back to the plaintiff - the bank taking its own collateral - and 8% were canceled before the gavel. Knowing which auctions are actually winnable is the difference between a strategy and a lottery ticket.

What the winning bid actually costs
Third-party sales only - the auctions you can actually win. Plaintiff buybacks bid ~$100 and would drag any average to the floor, so they are excluded here. Medians, never means. Every figure carries its sample.

12 counties carry at least one captured outcome; 4 have enough third-party sales (30+) for a median we are willing to publish (4,452 sales). The rest are listed for honesty, not decoration - we do not print a median off a handful of rows.
